about

'Tiki Run' wasn't intended to be an album. At the time this was recorded we were fleshing out our set to run about 45 minutes. Considering the fact that most of our songs were under two minutes, the task was a mean one, so in addition to the songs from our self titled album (also available via Speak Up Records), we threw in some new instrumentals and couple covers to bolster the coffers. This was a low fi recording, done live from front to back, and you can hear us working on tempo and minor tweaks throughout. Despite its flaws, I was grinning ear to ear when I stumbled upon the disc (simply labeled SRST PRACTICE SET) and gave it a spin.

Steve Reverb is more prolific a band now, eleven years after breaking up, than we were when we were active. It is a thrill to pour you another stiff glass of our feisty concoction of surf, rockabilly and cowpunk.

Enjoy!
